Why do we wait until adulthood to teach the financial skills everyone needs? That question led us to build something different.
Six years ago, three Liverpool parents sat around a kitchen table, frustrated. Their children had been through years of traditional schooling but couldn't explain the difference between a debit card and credit, didn't understand interest, and had no framework for making spending decisions.
We realized the education system wasn't equipped to fill this gap. But we also knew that these weren't complicated concepts when explained the right way, at the right age.
So we started small. A handful of weekend workshops in community centres. Word spread quickly among local families who recognized the same gap we'd seen.
From kitchen table conversations to city-wide impact.
Financial literacy isn't about making everyone into accountants or investment bankers. It's about giving young people the confidence to handle money decisions without anxiety or confusion.
We believe learning should be engaging, not tedious. That mistakes are part of the process. That every child deserves access to these fundamental life skills, regardless of their family's financial background.
Most importantly, we believe in starting early. The habits and understanding developed in childhood shape financial behavior for decades.
We tailor everything to developmental stages. Seven-year-olds learn through games and stories. Sixteen-year-olds engage with real financial scenarios they'll face within months.
No passive listening. Every session includes activities, discussions, and practical exercises that reinforce concepts through doing, not just hearing.
We provide resources for parents to continue conversations at home. Financial education works best when the whole family is aligned.
Our instructors come from diverse backgrounds: former teachers, financial advisors who wanted to work directly with communities, and parents who learned these lessons the hard way and want better for the next generation.
What unites us is a genuine passion for this work. We're not here to sell financial products or push any agenda beyond practical education. We're here because we've seen how transformative this knowledge can be.
Every team member is DBS checked and trained in safeguarding. We take the responsibility of working with young people seriously.
"I appreciate that they're not trying to sell anything. Just pure education focused on building skills that will serve kids for life."
"The family workshop was eye-opening. We all learned together, and it gave us a shared vocabulary for talking about money at home."
"They've worked with our school for two years now. The difference in students' confidence when discussing financial topics is remarkable."
"My son was resistant at first, but the instructor made it relevant to things he cares about. Now he's genuinely interested in understanding how money works."
We're constantly evolving our programmes based on feedback from young people, parents, and educators. What worked five years ago needs updating to reflect how teenagers interact with money today.
Our goal isn't just to reach more families, though that matters. It's to deepen the impact we have with each young person who goes through our programmes.
If every child in Liverpool left school with solid financial foundations, how different would our community look in twenty years? That's what drives us forward.
